Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between American MLD vs Brazilian MLD

American and Brazilian lymphatic drainage both aim to stimulate the lymphatic system but they differ significantly in technique and purpose. American lymphatic drainage uses slow, gentle, and rhythmic movements. In contrast, Brazilian lymphatic drainage is more dynamic, with firmer pressure and sculpting motions designed to deliver visible contouring and aesthetic results. While the American style focuses on internal wellness and the Brazilian method enhances circulation, reduce fluid build up, reduces bloating, and leaves clients feeling lighter and visibly more defined after just one session.

Who shouldn't get Lymphatic Drainage

  1. Those who are going through chemo/radiation. Unless clear by your doctor to do so. No chemo/radiation for at least 72 Hours
  2. Those who don't like to be touch or slighly expose especially in more intimate areas.
  3. Have a history of blood clots or heart conditions. Must be clear by your doctor to do so.
  4. Women who are in their 1st Trimester

How often should I receive a massage?

The frequency of massage therapy depends on individual needs and goals. Our therapists can recommend a schedule based on your specific concerns.

Is massage therapy suitable for everyone?

Massage therapy is generally safe for most people, but it is important to inform your therapist of any medical conditions or concerns before your session.

“I have never felt so relaxed and refreshed after a lymphatic drainage massage session at Divine Flow Therapy. The therapist was professional and the ambiance was soothing.”
